Grow Forests, Grow Communities In Mount Kenya
For every $1 invested in planting indigenous trees, $25 is returned and put back into a Kenyan farmers pocket through agroforestry over an eight year period, with the additional bonus of a 50 hectare indigenous forest being grown. With such a boost to each farmer, we can uplift rural economies, support sustainable practices, coexistence and ensure a thriving ecosystem and mountain community for those living on the slopes of Africa's second highest mountain, Mount Kenya.

Protecting A World Heritage Site From Destruction
This project supports frontline protection work in one of Africa's most critical landscapes. Mount Kenya biosphere reserve sustains the lives of over 3.5 million people and critical biodiverse species. At its centre is the second-highest mountain in Africa, surrounded by forest spanning over 250,000 Hectares. Decades of mounting pressures have set the landscape on a trajectory in which, by 2040, 40-55% of its vegetation cover could be lost, and by 2030, Mount Kenya would lose all its glaciers.

Keep 5000 Girls In School, Fight Period Poverty
65% of Kenyan girls can't afford or access sanitary pads, resulting in 40 school days lost each year. In Meru, period poverty fuels a 'Triple Threat' SGBV, HIV, and teenage pregnancy in an effort to secure necessary funds to manage menstrual health. This drives school dropouts and stolen futures. We're changing that. Each Dignity Pack contains 6 reusable pads, lasting 2 years. We're putting them in the hands of 5,000 Meru girls so they stay safe, stay in school, and keep their futures intact.
