The 10 to 4 is a downhill mountain bike challenge and fun ride, coordinated by an Event Organiser, the Executive Officer of the Mount Kenya Trust and a small but dedicated committee. The 2013 10 to 4 event will be sponsored by SAX. The event has been held annually for the past 11th years to raise funds for local communities and conservation efforts on Mount Kenya. The Day 2 race begins at the edge of the Mount Kenya National Reserve boundary at an elevation of nearly 10,000ft and finishes in Borana Ranch at approximately 5,000ft. There is now a new event day called the ‘Hardcore’ aimed at elite Kenyan and International cyclists, the very fit and experienced. We particularly welcome overseas entrants to try the new two day event.

THE 10 to 4 FOCUS:
The 10 to 4 Mountain Bike Challenge is a fundraising initiative of the Mount Kenya Trust. The next five year fundraising focus for the event will be the rehabilitation of part of the Mount Kenya National Reserve, with the specific objective of planting some 8 million trees over a period of eight to ten years on more than 2000 reclaimed hectares from informal settlement on the mountain. Mount Kenya Trust's other conservation projects will also benefit. Each year the progress and growth of this initiative will be visibly measurable.
Be part of this formidable, environmental recovery.
